St-Thomas Aquinas

January 29th, 2009

The staff of 6 workers were right on budget at the 10 Day mark.  Despite the freezing conditions (wind chill factors of -45 C), we were able to achieve our goal of painting the entire Church in 10 days.  Of course, weather has little to do with interior painting projects, but we like to think we braved the elements to achieve our mission.

As you can see from before and after pictures the Church started out being a combination of blue and white.  Not the warmest of colour schemes.  The resulting colours, Ivory and a Golden Yellow, may seem familiar to those browsing through our picture gallery.  These colours were borrowed from the St-Augustine's Colour scheme done 3 years prior.  It certainly made St-Augustine's a warmer, more welcome envirnonment and from first impressions, St-Thomas has achieved the same results.

In the end, close to 200 gallons of paint were applied to the walls and ceilings with in excess of 30,000 square feet of plastic used to cover lights, pews, floors, fans, etc...This was a great experience enjoyed by all.  Thanks to the wonderful people of Campbellton for the hospitality while we were there.  We look forward to hearing all the great remarks over the next few months.

Do you think the right colours were chosen?
